Plant Manager

The Plant Manager is responsible for strategically directing and managing all plant operations and maximizing resources to achieve customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, quality products, and economic goals.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Managing operations in a high volume fast moving environment.
  • Previous P&L responsibility, planning, creating and managing to a budget
  • Understanding, defining and communicating KPI\\\'s for the plant and departments
  • Review and plan for workforce requirements
  • Lead labor relations in a union or non-union environment to include a robust communication strategy with all employees, setting expectations and driving accountability as well as celebrating successes.
  • Drive a safety focus environment with accountability for safety by all employees within the facility.
  • Drive continuous improvement in cost, quality, and on-time delivery through planning, organizing, and best practices with the team and engaging support groups using Lean Manufacturing techniques.
  • Implementing strategies in alignment with the company strategic initiatives while providing the team with clear direction and focus.
  • Successful management of launch of new or changing programs.
  • Respectfully managing communication and expectations at all levels within the facility and the company
  • Experience working closely with and support all departments to ensure involvement in and continuous improvements of all systems Management Review, APQP, PPAP, CPI, customer and supplier issues, cost improvements.
  • Ensures performance goals for Managers and departments are established and met

  • Preferred: Engineering or Business Degree required with 5-10 years of supervisory/management experience. MBA a plus
  • Automotive Supplier Manufacturing Experience - Tier 1 experience preferred
  • Injection molding experience a strong plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Proven team building and strong leadership skills
  • Proven communication methods with employees at all levels
  • Proficient knowledge of Outlook and MS Office tools
